Plastisol is a suspension of PVC particles in a liquid plasticizer, it flows as a liquid and can be poured into a heated mold. When heated to around 177 degrees Celsius, the plastic and plasticizer mutually dissolve each other.
Advantages: | PVC FREE ECO PHTHALATE ECO FORMALDEHYDE ECO APEO ECO HEVAY METAL ECO AZODue to the request of Eco & Green Standard , We develop a kind of Eco quality of Plastisol & apply them onto textile screen printing.NON-PVC PLASTISOL is a kind of quality which is totally not containing PVC. Characteristics: The printing ink is not dry in room temperature, so to reach to dry totally, the temperature has to around 170~180℃. Applications: |

Plastisol Application
Plastisol PC is a series product with great properties of opaque. Plastisol PC is highly recommended to apply both on deep-color base and white base fabrics. Moreover, during printing process, water-base and solvent-base colors are not allowed to be mixed with Plastisol PC, nevertheless, all color pastes of Plastisol PC can be mixed to get under requirement.
Plastisol EL is a series Product with fluorescence and by auxiliaries.
Plastisol OC is an original quadri-chromatic(four-color-base) type pastes. The type products are mainly applied for creating various colors.
Relative Auxiliaries
Diluent This Diluent is always applied to dilute while Plastisol PC, EL and OC series are too thick to be used. There is no limit to the quantity for dilution. Use Diluent with required color pastes. Moreover, the drying time remains the same as standard.
Softener This Softener is applied to make the hand-touch with better feeling. After applying to print by Plastisol PC, EL and OC series.
a. The quantity applied should be from 3%~10%
b. The more quantity applied, the softer the printed fabrics performed. However, longer duying time should be made.
c. The quantity applied should be carefully considered.
Drying
At 175C~180C, 2~3 min
DO NOT STORE NEAR HEAT. USE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA; IF HEAT IS USED FOR CURING BE SURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT LOCAL MECHANICAL EXHAUST TO CARRY OFF ANY FUMES. KEEP CONTAINER CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE. AVOID GETTING IN EYES OR PROLONGED OR REPEATED CONTACT WITH SKIN. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
FIRST AID :
EYE CONTACT : FLUSH WELL WITH RUNNING WATER FOR AT
LEAST 15 MINUTED AND SEE A PHYSICIAN.
SKIN CONTACT : WASH WELL SOAP AND WATER OR INK-OFF HAND CLEANER.
INGESTION : CALL A PHYSICIAN.
OVERVIEW
CHT Silicone Ink is a 2 part system that consists of a White, Neutral Base, 12 Opaque Pigments and four Fluorescent Pigments. The system is PVC and Phthalate Free. In addition there is an Anti-Slip version as well as a High Density Gel that can be used as a metallic or glitter base.
ADDITIVES
- ALPAPRINT CATALYST (use @ 2% by weight)
- ALPA THIX A – Thickener for increasing viscosity
- ALPA OIL V 50 – Thinner for decreasing viscosity
- COLOURDUR AM ADDITIVE – Anti-migration additive (added @ 10%)
MESH
CHT Silicone Inks print best when printed through mesh ranging from 86 to 160 threads per inch. (32 – 64 threads per cm.)
FLASH CURING
Unlike traditional plastisol inks CHT Silicone Inks flash cure best at very low temperatures and at short flash cure times. We recommend flash cures set at no higher the 140 F and for no longer then 3 seconds. Preheating the pallets is strongly recommended. Higher flash cure temperatures will adversely affect the catalyzed ink life and the ability of the inks to remain open in the image area.
CURING TIMES
CHT Silicone Ink allows for migration free images on even the most difficult polyester fabrics. To achieve migration free prints with the softest, most opaque ink film we recommend a print production process where layers of ink are printed using 86 – 160 mesh, flash cured at low temperatures then repeated until the desired effect is achieved. For migration free prints curing needs to take place under the sublimation point of the dye in the garment. Using a double stroke print procedure is helpful to get the brightest whites and most opaque colors.
If higher levels of ink layers are needed we recommend using high density stencils ranging from 100 micron to 300 microns and printing using the same method described above.
